Today was a good day in the mountains

It was a windy day today in certain areas but in other areas it was great

Near the end of the trip we ended up getting first tracks

Liz breaking some trail. first tracks on this trail

Rocky part of the trail around 9,000ft. around 4 miles round trip alittle bit past campsite 6

We ended up turning around at this point since there was loose rocks buried under new snow would not be a good place to twist an ankle.

Today was a good day to hike a mountain ended up leaving the house around 1 p.m. and decided to find a trail with less people around ended up heading up to Glen Haven and checked out Signal Mountain trail ended up hiking 4 miles round trip and found this great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine without dealing with the high winds in town. This was a great mini trip as always arriving back home to only pick another spot to see next weekend.

One of my favorite places I found this summer

This experience was great hiked to Island lake and the storms rolled in so ended up hiking down to a lower lake across the valley and eventually decided to get to some trees so Im not sitting on a mountain in a lightning storm. Ended up finding this water fall along the way and camped within 100 feet of this badass place. Camping in the mountains is epic.
