BlackLight Space

8 hours total time on this sketch.
Took a long time naming the stars and their symbols in the constellations, shading, and layering dots. This is a small fraction of the sky above. The Northstar (Polaris) can be found from the two stars on the bowl part of the Big Dipper (URSA MAJOR) and also Cassopia if you follow the middle star of the W. These two constellations are simple ways to find The Northstar.

Star map of the polaris and a few constellations and galaxies 8 hours of work from naming all the stars to shading.

New Gear: Testing out the Go Lite tent and poncho tarp in the rain.

Just purchased two new products since there was a sale and I’d rather not spend more money than I really need too. I picked up the Shangri-La 3 Tent for $200 bucks instead of 400$ works great even in the rain. The Go Lite poncho worked very well as a poncho and as a tarp got that on sale for 45$ bucks on sale from 90$. Im very thankful I was not in my hammock on this trip because the lack of room inside of the shelter. These two purchases kept me dry in the rain and Im thankful for that.

New Gear: Go Lite Shangri-La 3 Tent 4 lbs 5 oz. Go Lite Poncho Tarp 7.5 oz.

Close call with a Moose. Camping Time Red Feathers Colorado

First thing after we park and start walking around we noticed a huge moose right with in 15 feet. It sounded like someone coughing or huffing so I looked over and saw what I thought was a head lamp and with the coughing but looked closer two eyes big moose......Wondering around scouting for our spot. So when we arrived there was a river close by so we explored around.

Crossing the river was pretty fun fallen trees every where.

Beer Time ! A few good beers are great but its a good habit to pack out your trash that you bring.

Cool plants every where

There were some Trout in the deeper pockets of water in the river

More river crossings and also the best place to fish. 2 foot fishing hole.

Spider webs every where had to pay attention

Hilleberg Tent 800$

Hennessy Hammock Expedition 2lbs. 150$

The trees and the clouds looked epik not to mentioned the stars at night looked awesome.

After the sunset the stars appeared after some clouds

Using a rock to cut a small branch for use as a fishing pole

Disclaimer: I don't just go around hacking off tree limbs just simply borrowing a piece of nature for survival skills.

Cool rock formations

Lost lake was pretty empty so we found another lake to go hike.

Creedmore lake was a nice lake to camp near.

Hiking with weight

The view facing north

The view from up top of Creedmore Lake

Very nice area

It was a nice lake to fish no bites for us but we saw a few people catch some Brown Trouts

Camping on a total slope is no problem unless ur gear starts tumbling down.

Hanging out amongst the trees

The view from another high point

Cool views

We ended up hiking pretty far in search of two other lakes ending us out by a river a few miles away from camp

Sunday morning was nice to have to sun out saw a Brown Trout swim right by almost got him no luck endless amounts of crawdads on the other side of the lake.
